Professional Achievements of Payam Banazadeh

Payam Banazadeh is a graduate of the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering. He is a Co-founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Capella Space. The company promotes satellite image in Silicon Valley, owning the most extensive system of commercialized Synthetic Aperture Radar.

He was awarded the 2012 Texas Outstanding Scholar & Leader Award due to his powerful academic accomplishment and extraordinary leadership. While in the university, he went for an internship at NASA; he positively inspired STEM students. During this time, he received numerous promotions and ended up as a Lead Project System Engineer.

Due to his exemplary leadership on multi-million dollar tasks, he was presented with the NASA Marine Award. He was iconic in the formulation of new concepts, and he was awarded with the NASA Discovery Award

Payam Banazadeh was sponsored by the National Science Foundation to acquire a Master’s degree in business from Stanford University. After graduating from Stanford University, William Woods and Payam Banazadeh Co-Founded Capella Space with the desire of exploring planet Earth from space. This invention was to help in enhancing transparency to various industries. The inspiration for the foundation of the company was due to the vanishing of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370. 

Payam Banazadeh was chosen on the prestigious Forbes 30 under 30 catalog in 2017. Their company has numerous times received recognition by the New York Times and many other magazines.

Payam Banazadeh rose beyond the standard technology of optical satellites and transformed to SAR technology as a replacement for monitoring the Earth. His work has assisted in the creation of new powerful ways of giving out data about the Earth’s surface.
